Global Ongoing Problem in Cemeteries Solved with Stainless Steel

Ladoga, IN. - Locally owned Young & Co Rock Art and Design released it's new Stainless Steel Monument Flower Box on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Monument Builders of North America Convention, held at the Duke Energy Center, Cincinnati, Ohio with an overwhelming positive response from those in the industry attending.

The product will totally change the way people will memorialize their love ones' grave site with flowers. No more will people be spending their hard earned money on floral arrangements that disappear when the wind blows.

The Problem:

Wind Damage, Rusting on Granite, Scratching Granite......

For many years people have struggled to keep their floral arrangements attached to their Loved Ones' Monuments. They have gone to such extremes as using duct tape to tent stakes and baling wire in order to keep these expensive floral arrangements attached to the monument. Many of the saddles on the market today are made of steel and leave rust stains on the granite, rust stains can not be removed from granite. The Solution:

Young & Co. has designed and manufactured a stainless steel flower box that clamps to the top of granite monuments. Made with the same stainless steel alloy used in the building of the “Chrysler Building” and the “St. Louis Arch”. Will not rust or scratch the granite monument.

This box allows the user to remove one floral arrangement and insert another with ease. For those that buy arrangements on a regular basis, they can have as many arrangements as needed taking the ones not in use and storing them until the next use. Silk Plant Cleaning Spray makes artificial flowers look new again allowing years of use for floral arrangements. The dirt buildup will roll away with the drops of cleaner and a thin shield will be left behind to repel dust and dirt.

The Stainless Steel Monument Flower Box comes complete with Box, Clamp, Floral Foam and Allen Wrench for the three screws used to install the box.

This being said, the end user will save hundreds of dollars per year.

These boxes are constructed of 316L stainless steel, the same stainless alloy used on the Chrysler Building and the St. Louis Arch, and we all know how well they have endured over the years.

• THE ONGOING EXISTING PROBLEM:
  A popular way for families to decorate their memorial to their loved ones with a flower arrangement is the “saddle” that clips to the top of the monument.    Most of these saddles are made from steel wire, which over time will rust, PERMANENTLY STAINING the granite. Others are made from aluminum (imported saddle above), which will scratch the granite. Most have no secure means of attaching the flowers, and the florist will use wire or tape, which will not last.
  The biggest drawback of insufficient mounting can be seen above. A professionally made flower arrangement can be a very costly item. It is a shame to see that investment blown against the cemetery’s fence.

  With finding a solution to these problems as a goal, we are pleased to introduce our monument flower box. The features of this product’s patent pending design include:
  • Made entirely from 316L stainless steel; will not rust, corrode or stain the granite monument.
  • Simple, positive means of attachment with one tool (provided) coupled with the depth of the box assures high wind resistance.
  • Each unit comes complete with florist’s foam blocks for attaching floral arrangements.

  No more spending big money for a beautiful floral arrangement from a florist just to have it blow away the next time the wind blows. It’s such a shame to see your hard earned dollars up against a cemetery’s fence.

  Place the clamp on top of the monument. The clamp is secured to the monument by tightening the clamp screw with the Allen wrench provided. Temporarily remove the two mounting screws on the top of the clamp and place the flower box over the clamp so the two mounting holes where the screws were removed align with the mounting holes in the bottom of the flower box. Tighten the mounting screws with the same wrench and installation is complete. Please note below that the clamp has rubberized edges so as to not scratch the granite monument.
  The flower box’s two piece design allows one to leave the clamp on the monument and take the box only to the florist, if a professionally done arrangement is preferred. Please watch the Installation video above.
  These beautiful stainless steel flower boxes are available in two finishes: Sanded and Polished. Artwork is available at your dealer to accent the box with engraved design elements, as seen in some of the photos below.
